EDUCATION ADVOCACY AND ENTRENUERSHIP SPEAKER

An advocate for education, particularly in nurturing student entrepreneurship, I actively engage in shaping the next generation of innovators and business leaders. My journey has taken me to guest lectures, speaking events, conference key notes and advisory roles within entrepreneurship centers, where I share insights from my career and personal growth to inspire students.

My commitment extends beyond the classroom, as I work closely with educational institutions to develop programs that bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business challenges. My aim is to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality, fostering an ecosystem where education and entrepreneurship flourish together.

STUDENT ENTEPRENUERSHIP WEBINARS

S.W.A.G. PROJECT

I founded the (SWAG) Students with Academic Game program at San Diego State University in 2015 with the sole purpose of creating a community for struggling students to connect and grow together. After working my way into every Honor Society available, I found that GPA was a key factor in acceptance among them all. After my battle with cancer in 2012 right after transferring to SDSU I found there were plenty of other student battling their own challenges, some of these challenges came through no fault of their own. As a result, I formed a non-profit dedicated to supporting them, funded through sponsorships.

The SWAG Seminars represents one of the largest, student-led events in SDSU history. It was a grassroots program that brought in over $17,000 in sponsorships to bring out Dr. Eric Thomas, and bussed in over 200+ local high school students from disadvantaged areas in the San Diego, CA community. This truly was one of the greatest accomplishments during my education.
